Job Summary

The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls of mobile heavy machinery and equipment. These include hydraulic and pneumatic systems, especially those found in large construction and industrial machinery such as cranes, wheel loaders, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of heavy machinery as per company procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and calibration devices.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Test and inspect equipment post-repair to confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Interpret and follow operating manuals, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery using appropriate lifting and hand tools.
• Overhaul and adjust subassemblies such as transmissions, gear systems, and crawler heads.
• Rewire and troubleshoot electrical issues within the heavy equipment.
• Maintain detailed service reports, track time allocation, parts used, and parts returned.
